Default Temperature

Just started noticing my temperature......How high does your 929 temp get in heavy traffic? When should I get worried? It drops fast as long as I am moving. I was seeing number in the 220+.

There are a lot of variables (outside temp, coolant type, etc.. etc..) but that sounds normal. Under normal conditions I notice approx. 150-180Ëš moving and approx 200-220 still or slow for a while.

Edit: And I've noticed most honda sportbikes are in that general range.

220 + is about right when you're just sitting in traffic.

Your thermostat starts to open at 177-182 and it doesn't fully open until 203. You fan kicks on at 208 to 216 and shuts off when it's back below 207. All out of your shop manual.

you can lower it by holding your rpms around 2500-4k gotta play with it but it will circlelate the water faster and cool it off.

I actually put a second fan on my bike. I hooked it up to a toggle switch so I can turn it on at any time. It is very helpful whensitting in traffic in dallas.
