I bought my 01 F4i last summer. It came with what I believe is a Targa solo seat cowl (though it wasn't on the bike when I got it). I have tried to install it, but it doesn't seem very secure. I am thinking some of the mounting hardware may be missing.

Does anyone here have one? And would you be willing to take a pic of the hardware at the front of the cowl (where the seat hinge would be). Also if anyone has installation instructions, that could be helpful as well.

 

Here's a shot of the hardware at the front of the cowl:

the spikes go into the grommets bolted to the helmet hooks.

 

mine was also missing the hardware..call targa and they will send it to you..unless ur crafty and can rig up something

 

Thanks for the help guys. I have the spikes on the cowl, but am missing the two metal tabs for them to go into. I have contacted Targa about gettting them.

 

I can send you a set. 5 bucks. They'll come with the rubber inserts. pm me
