Tank Covers?
See them all the time...never used one.......I don't think it will scratch but make sure no water gets in there b/c it can change the paint (that will happen if it's left out in the sun too) and create mildew. I knew someone who had the Bra on their car and after a while the paint was fresher looking under the bra as opposed to the hood of the car.
I used one for three years on my Hayabusa , no scratches at all when I removed it to install a clear film called a Tank slapper. 20 bucks, it's removable as many times as you want for waxing etc. and you cant see it on the bike, I would never use any thing but a tank slapper from now on.

by the way, does the tankslapper discolor over time? like turn a yellowish color or anything
I personally am not to fond of them. I had one on my first F2. it discolored the paint, and it took away the over-all look of the bike. hiding the colors on the tank. All-in-all its personall prefference
