Default taking apart undertail....

So I started removing my stock undertail.....not too bad, basically winging it im a bit nervous....I ended up taking off the piece of plastic that goes around the front and rear seat, not sure if this is needed, but hopefully it will make it easier to install the new undertail. Anyways, the rear brake light is now loose along with the whole undertail, can I just yank it off now (all seems to be loose) like all the way down to the battery. It seems like ill be taking the entire rear half of my bike apart, no way does the battery need to come out does it? Going to continue this weekend, slip howd urs go?

Default RE: taking apart undertail....

The one we got, installed pretty easy. I accidently blew a fuse trying to figure out what wires went to what, got the grounds confused lol. So I'd suggest if you don't have a light tester or something, to go and get one. Makes the job a lot easier.

Like I said before, when I got my bike, I didn't have a stock undertail (mud flap). So I can't really help you in telling you what to trim, what to remove in terms of what's stock, because I just don't know what there is to a stock one lol.

The only thing I hate is that, the undertail we got doesn't fit exactly as flush as I would have liked it to. Maybe yours fits better, but mine definately has a little gap here and there.. Bleh get what you pay for right? lol

If you got any other questions that don't require stock tail light knowledge let me know lol.
