Default Taking apart handlebar

So I think the weight inside my left handlebar broke when my bike went down. Check out the microfiche: http://images.powersportsnetwork.com...P%20BRIDGE.gif

It looks like I have all of part 8 right up until where it gets narrow toward the outside of the handlebar (I'm missing all of the threading for screw 19).

So I want to take this thing apart and swap out the weight (part 8) for a new one. My question is how do I get the handlebar apart with the least amount of headache? There's a crap load of bolts in that area, and I don't want to make this a bigger job than it has to be.

Default RE: Taking apart handlebar

You are going to have to get a bolt in the weight somehow and have someone sit on the bike and use a slide hammer to get it out. Or take off the clip on and mount it in a vise with some rags. It will be a bitch to get out, no matter what. Try spraying some silicone up in there too.
