so i have a fender eliminator with the led tailights and i wanna go back to the stock style tail light with intergrated led blinkers

BUT... how does the factory tail light mount? does it mount to the subframe?

cuz my rear fender has been cut to fit the fender eliminator and the previous owner did all this work to the bike

 

Yes, it mounts to two tabs on the undertray.

If you want to go back to the stock "style" taillight you will need another undertray or you will need to makeup some tabs to mount it. Shouldn't be a big deal.

 

It mounts to the rear plastics by two phillips screws. Not the undertray. I have made my own undertail and cut the whole tray out and my taillight is still there.

 

depends. . on the 01-03 it mounts to the undertail. on the newer one they are on the rear plastics. . i know cuase i have both

 

JVracer04's Sig says '03 F4i. On the 01-03 the taillight fastened to two plastic tabs on the undertray by two metal studs on the back of the stock taillight and is held in place by two nuts. It also uses two rubber grommets to isolate the taillight from vibration.
