Tail Fairing Cracking - Any Fixes?
so i know a few people on here have also experianced this, but on my f4i, the tail fairing is starting to crack at the front right mounting point. im pretty sure that it caused from the pressure of your legs when you are sitting on the bike. if anyone has any fixes to prevent this from happening, or to stop it from cracking more, lets see them!
I've read this on the forum before... the main issue is that there's no padding under those parts, so put some dense foam that transfers the pressure from the legs to the frame, that should help with the issue. I'm ignoring mine for now
i've got that problem too....temporarily, i put some epoxy behind the crack for the time being to reinforce the plastic...i am getting a paintjob in the fall so i am not too worried as they are going to patch the crack...
to prevent if from getting worse or happening again...i am doing what ampfp said and put dense foam or some sort of bracing material against the subframe to prevent the flexing of that piece

I also threw some epoxy behind it... one way of stoppin a crack from getting bigger is to drill a hole at the ends. I have not done this as it doesn't seem to be getting bigger. I too am trying my hardest to ignore it
Glue., Hard epoxy or superglue only on the back. it leaves bad fumes you could probably sand that down fill it with a little putty cote, and then sand it back down for a repaint. if it really bothers you that much
