Tach not working

When I turn it on the rpm needle goes all the way up then down. When I turn the bike on the rpm needle doesn't move at all??

how do I fix it so that my tach shows my rpms?

I have the same exact problem. I narrowed the problem down tho, I noticed my wire harness was spliced so i swapped it out. Apparently, the sliced wire harness shorted out the signal in the ECU so now I need a new ECU.

I had that problem on my bike and it wound up being that the tach harness somehow unplugged itself.
