Default T-Rex rear stand

I'm planning on buying this for my F4i http://t-rex-racing.com/catalog.php?...;ret=index.php

Do I also need to buy the T-Rex spools to make it work? http://t-rex-racing.com/catalog.php?...Fcategory%3D19

Thanks

The stock F4i has no provision for spools, dont buy them unless you have welded or drilled spool mounts to your swingarm. The stand you selected will work with either spooled or unspooled bikes simply by reversing the mount.

Yup i wrote a review on t-rex stands and a couple of us on here have em. There cheap and work mint, i have the rear stand and front triple tree. Just used the regular front stand to take my front wheel off but the bike has been on stands for the past 4month now.

any spools will work. Like stated tho the F4/i doesnt come with provisions for spools. Having a tab welded to the bottom of the swingarms is the best way to add them. But you can do what I did and just drill and tap a hole centered n just b4 the weld. Mine works great.

To lift my rear wheel I used a floor jack for a car and supported each side of the swing arm on jack stands. I put rags folded over a couple of times to protect the metal to metal contact. If you look under the swing arm there is a cross bar by the pegs. I put a piece of wood on the jack to help. Start slowly jacking up the bike but hold the grip to keep it stable. Once you get it high enough for your jack stands just slide your jack stands into place under each side of the swing arm and slowly lower the bike on the jack stands. Easy as that. For the front I bought this.

It's a cheap stand but works great. The only problem is there are no instructions for assembly of the stand, but once you start puting it up to the bike you get the idea how it's suppost to be.
