Hello guys as you can tell Im new to this board, figured this would be the quickest and best place to ask. My friend has 07 600rr forks and mine went bad, leaking oil. I got an 02 F4i its my stunt bike. So I was wondering If I could just swap them out really quick or If not what else do I need to replace in not the whole fornt end? thanks

 

Those are inverted forks alot more involved than just swapping forks. A great upgrade for the f4i especially for stunting is the 954 forks.

 

So Ive heard. Im not looking to upgrade my forks just trying to replace them.. Happens to be my friend has an extra set of mint 07 rr forks. What else is involved what do I need in oder to have those installed on my f4i? Is it worth the time and effort? or am I better of just rebuilding mine? thanks

 

This just off my head what u would need maybe more not just a swap over it would be a conversion

Fork tubes
Lower triple clamp (with neck)
Upper triple clamp
Clip-ons
Wheel spacers + front axle
Brakes (calipers, pads, lines)
Maybe wheel

 

929/954 forks for a swap/upgrade whats the difference?

They go on the F4i more easily than others. I am about to get cracking on my swap in the next few days.

If you can find an entire front end that will save you time and maybe some money.

Forks
Top and Bottom Clamps
Brakes and Lines
Wheel (many Honda wheels look the same but have subtle differences)

 

Dude, just service the leaking fork seals on your existing forks. You're looking at maybe $50 in parts.

Check the service manual.
