Default Steering Damper????

I'm debating,,, Do you think they really help? I can turn my bike just fine,,, How does it help? I know I've already blown enough money, but why not keep blowing it!

I've read that the dampersare mainly for(when/if) you experience wobble.

scroll down to "Headshaking, tankslapping and steering dampers".

on the street a damper will usually only help if you do something stupid
its only there to prevent tank slappers, usually a tank slapper can be completely avoided at the "headshake" phase without a damper but sometimes inexperienced riders make it worse by grabbing the bars tight trying to stop them from shaking, slamming on the front brake, etc in those cases a damper will take it out of your hands (figuritively speaking) and prevent the shake from developing into a tankslapper

again, this stuff only happens when your going too fast for road conditions
