Steering Damper????
I've read that the dampersare mainly for(when/if) you experience wobble.

on the street a damper will usually only help if you do something stupid
its only there to prevent tank slappers, usually a tank slapper can be completely avoided at the "headshake" phase without a damper but sometimes inexperienced riders make it worse by grabbing the bars tight trying to stop them from shaking, slamming on the front brake, etc in those cases a damper will take it out of your hands (figuritively speaking) and prevent the shake from developing into a tankslapper
again, this stuff only happens when your going too fast for road conditions
