Stator going bad?
Been having problems with my bike turning on to the poin where I have to get jumps, I put the battery on the charger and it recharges it and says its good but I'll go out riding and sometimes it will barely crank over and I have to get a jump and sometimes it will crank right up, anyway I can diagnose it? Tks in advance guys.
The battery is at least a year old it was already on the bike when a bought it last July owner said it was bought two months before, when I try and crank the bike it doesn't start the next time I crank it I give it a lil throttle and it typically turns on but what gots me thinking it's the battery or stator is the fact that sometimes I go to crank it and it only wants to turn over once second time around it doesn't have power, don't know if I wanna replace both issues seeing how winter is around the corner and riding will be a lot less likely but don't want it sitting wait for summer to ride again.
I don't trust auto stores I took an optima in one day and the next day I came to pick it up and they said it was bad to leave it with them and buy a new one, took it home and went to interstate batteries and went back the next day, perfectly fine battery..
Should I charge the battery before hand?
