sprocket coversion
Hey i had an old f4 stunt bike along time ago that had sprocket work done to it but now i have a 01 f4i now i herd that can get alot more torque with -1 +2 but my top speed will be like 100 and some other people said that i could just -1 in the front and thats all i really want, but if i do that does anyone know wut my top speed will be and if i need a aftermarket chain. i wanna hit 130
thanks alot
thanks alot
go to ebay and look up the "sumofallparts" store...they have charts and sprocket set-ups for whatever you are looking for...i just put an acceleration kit on my 900 and it's atotally differentbike...amazing
Changing the front sprocket was super easy. 3 bolts and the cover and sprocket are off. -1 in the front = +3 in the rear. so changing the front helps keep the stock look vs a huge rear sprocket. Unless you want a rear pizza size sprocket.... so -1/+2 = +5 in the rear and keeping a pretty stock look.

I've done several conversions now, and I prefer not to go down on the front. It seems like more vibration when I do. IF you goto a 50 tooth on the rear you will have plenty of torque, and top speed will be at least 130 as I had mine to 128(GPS'd) the other day and it was still climbing. There is a sprocket conversion calculator if you do a google search. It will explain the ratios better. Also I like to stick with the 525 chain on a stunt bike. I tore the hell out ofa 520 setup.
