Speed vs. RPM question...
OK, new F4i owner here... I searched and didn't find anything, so if it's already been answered, let me know and I'll go digging again...
My question is at what RPM are you turning in 6th gear at 60, 65, 70, 75 and 80 MPH? I ask because the bike I'm picking up on Tuesday has a bad speed sensor and I'd like to have an idea how fast I'm going on the highway. Following traffic doesn't work because this is Utah and they're Utards. The bike, as far as I know, has stock sprockets.
Thanks!

RE: Speed vs. RPM question...
woah cool site...
it all depends on your sprockets really. with stock sprockets, you'll get about 1mph per 100RPM in 4th gear. 40MPH = 4000RPM in 4th. In 6th gear, i do about 5500RPM at 70MPH indicated
keep in mind, everyone is different since everyone has different a thickness of tread and tire heights. speedo error can be much as 10% off... and everyone in this forum has speedo error unless they have a 'speedo-healer'

Or maybe, unknowing to me, i have a speedohealer hidden somwhere [8D]. Where do speedohealers get installed... i'll have to take a look around.

yeah that is weird. i've got stock sprockets but it's probably because i'm running on a very tall rear tire.

RE: Speed vs. RPM question...
Now i'm getting confused... and i will now attempt to comendeer this post. [8D]
I have 48 teeth in the rear(+2 above stock), but it seems that my rpm's are on par with all of yours with stock gearing... does that even make sense? even with a speedo-healer (which im not sure i even have) wouldn't the rpm's be higher at the same speed than someone with stock gears?
