Speed Sensor help
Hey, I'm trying to install my speedohealer at the moment and am having trouble locating the speed sensor. In the Clymer's manual it says to remove the throttle body assembly first, but that seems like a real bitch and I don't really want to do that.. anyways does anyone know an easy way to locate the speed sensor cable on a 2002 F4i without removing the throttle body?

RE: Speed Sensor help
On my '06 F4i it was really hard to get to. You pretty much have to prop the gas tank up as much as possible to get under it. You should not have to remove the thottle bodies. I initially could not see the connector, but after reaching way in from the top I was able to feel around for it.
Here is a picture of it after I pulled it up a bit... It's the black connector with the red and green wires...

Great!
Ya, well they liked my pics so much they turned it into the F4i tutorial.
You can see the rest of mycycle pics at www.steveboyce.com ... Follow the Motorcycle link on the left.
Also, I just installed a Two Bros M2 Titanium Exhaust. I posted some before and after sound clips and a stop frame video of the install.
Speaking of hard to get to wires, the Exhaust O2 sensor port on the mid pipe was in a different location than the original and I had to completely re-route the O2 sensor wire. I had to practically take the gas tank off again. I'm getting to be quite the expert at gas tank removal []
