Spark plug options?

RE: Spark plug options?
I would always at least check the gap and regap if needed. I prefer gapping on the smaller side "thinking" that if gives me better bttom end response. This is not a car with massive coils to create outrageous spark instead it has pencil like coils but one for each cyl.. If oyu have the time try it out.... gap to the smallest tolerance run the bike for a few days and try to take notice of the ;ow rpm response compared to high rpm pull. and then do the same wit the widest allowed gap per spec and do the same.. You "will" notice a difference.
As far a "pre gapped" yes they are but for what application. most times spark plugs fit several different motors so who is to say which gap setting the plug comes with.

yea i think that is suppose to move the timing a little.i have heard that as sparkplugs ware out the gad gets further apart and so retards the timing.like on my lawn mower if you set the gap on the plug too wide it has hardly any power at all or maybe not even crank.

Hey guys... I'm new to the forums, but I'd like to let you all know that I ran into the same problem finding those plugs. But eventually I found out that you can get Oreilly's to special order them for you at 11 bucks each and they take about 4 days to get them... fyi.
