other than the subframe complete swap from the 01-03 f4i's, are there any other solo tail swaps? i dont care if it has a fixed cowl(no passengerseat cushion), but it does need to be street legal compatible. i also need to find a underatail to go with it.

made of plastic, looks like a 01-03 replica, but the seller states it works on 01-06, does this make sense seeing that they have different rear tail subframes? i am also confused on what undertail to get, howdoes acustom tail piece bolt on to a model year specific undertail? will i have problems mixing and matching parts?

they are both from the same seller and dont give specific years for fitment.

i know there are poeple here that have swapped out the banana seat and tail with something other than the 01-03 OE parts.[/align]

 

just take the route i chose and get the targa

 

01-03 have a different subframe and undertray...so undertails and cowls will only work for those years....you need to find a cowl for a 04-06 year bike for it to work

 

how about this one, solo tail that states it is for fitment on 04-06 F4I's, their are two available, one that uses the stock seat(banana) which covers over the rear section, and one that requires a new single seat pad.

not bad looking, but i want somethin alittle sleeker, that and i want to never ever have the liability of a passenger. <---i know, its definately moistens the female occupants, but i dont like the risk(i wouldnt want someone experiencing what i have...waking up in da bambalance and eryting)maybe after i have been riding for a couple years i will allow some tang to ride along.

 

looks so, i can live without the trunk space.....i think.....other than trnuk space, would it allow access to the fuse box? sorry, i cant even remember if the fuse box is below the front portion of the banana of the rear tail section?

damn, they are definately out there, here is one from cheetah, im not sure why all these state they are available for the 01-03 as well as the 04-06's without seeing different part numbers? is it possible that both subframes can acceptthe sameaftermarket tail?

looks like airtech makes a solo seat and a undertail that bolts on a 04+ F4I. it does need the tail light section to be cut out. It uses the stock banana seat and covers the rear with a perm fixed rear cowl-super bike style. i think this is the route i am going to take since i already ordered a devil high mount and devilbikes says the pipes are different on the 01-03 vs 04+ so a 01-03 tail section and subframe will not fit without modifications.
