It allows for a certain amount off deceleration clutch slip against compression braking. It allows for smoother downshifts with less chance of jerkiness or locking the rear tire up, and allows you to pay less attention to rpm matching and clutch work and more attention to braking and the turn.

I heard STM has one for the 600RR, probably about 1,000 bucks. I think its STM, could be SKM. Should have a web site to see if they have a kit fot the F4i.
Leveltwo... its a replacement clutch unit that reduces engine braking effect when down shifting. Mostly a track item I would guess. Personally, for a thousand bucks
Ill live with throttle blipping (on the street). Also, I thought I read that the new 1000RR's have them stock.

It's when your rear wheel hops or chatters when you downshift at high reving. It also helps if you downshift by more than 1 gear.
It is somewhat not that important for street. Just bleep the throttle as you downshift works the best.

i read somwhere that one for the 600RR will work but its taller so you have to figure out some way to make the clutch cover stick out more to allow clearance somebody said a machine shop "expanded" their cover to fit or something like that but for all that I'd just live with the blipping especially on the street

riding without a slipper clutch forces you to become a smoother rider, those that ride bikes with slipper clutches tend to get lazy on downshifting
