Well from the other posts it doesn't sound good. You can send off your used oil for analysis to somewhere like blackstone labs, and they'll let you know if they find abnormal wear when they send you the results. How many miles are on your bike?

if bearings are to this point now
next will be catastrophic and your motor will start producing GOLD
you might as well kick the motor to the curb and start looking for a new one

Alright guys, thanks for all the input on this. I will get the oil analysis done next season and post back the findings.

I hope it's nothing ben, but this advice for diagnosis from 74demon is pretty simple if you wanna get an idea as to what it is before next season. The oil pressure test isn't that hard from what I've read in the manual. I think you would've noticed a knocking under light acceleration by now, so you can probably rule out the rod bearings.

If your rattle is a knock, usually while lightly accelerating, the rod bearings are bad and you are killing the crank. Bad main bearings will show up in an oil pressure test.
