Default Another one bites the dust

So after not even a week and less than 200 miles, I dropped it! I have to put the thing on my back patio. In order to do this, I have to drive it up to a particular part of the curb. I drove in from a different direction and cut back way too sharp. I ended up catching myself (luckily) and was able to absorb most of the fall. After that I slipped in the gravel/dirt and the bike landed on my knee and ankle. That wasn't really all that much fun. I don't think I'll do that anymore if I can help it! Dude, I feel like such a freakin' dumba$$!

I've known a lot of people that take there new bike out in a nice clean yard and lay it down in the soft grass to get that first drop out of the way.

It's going to happen... and if it never does, I pity you and your bike for not using it like it was meant to be. They're sport bikes... not show toys.

You're not as big of a dumba$$ as I am.... I dropped mine in heavy traffic leaving work because my pant leg caught around the heel guard. It looked like I pulled up to the traffic light and just decided not to put my foot down. It happens.... frame slider will help save a lot of damage.

Doncollins I beg to differ. /ban snowboarding82 lol If you DO use the bike as intended you should not drop it or crash it. You're saying that they make the bikes to crash and by using them you're supposed to crash them! lol

I think he was talking about finding the limits of the bike and stuff happens! If you never fall your not seeking out those limits! Obviously none of us are out to crash, but it happens! I got your back Don!! LOL

Sorry to hear you dropped it, but not as bad as me when I dropped mine the first day I had it. I thought I was the only one around until I saw my friend's mom looking out of her driveway at me...
