I am getting ready to do this shortening job, folks. I'm going to follow the guide here:
http://home.comcast.net/~nstama/shortyyoshi.html
I have a bunch of questions for you all before I begin drilling and sawing.
Is this smaller cylinder within the muffler a baffle?
If it is, how can I remove it so I can shorten the thing?
I am planning to reduce the muffler from the midpipe side. Do I also have to remove the rivets and pull off the outlet side to remove the baffle?
Is there a bonding agent other than rivets holding the end caps in place?
I appreciate any an all advice.

I'd also suggest cutting the strap that goes around the pipe and riveting it to the body of the muffler so it doesn't wrap over the yoshi plate. I did it on mine and it looked better than having the plate covered. It made it look less like it was a hacked can and more like it was supposed to be that length.

Thanks for your comments and help everyone.
Thanks, Nick. Did yours have that baffle thing in it?
I see the pictures in your album. It looks very nice. I would love to see a close-up picture of your riveting job. Can you post one, please?
