Default Shortened exhaust mockup

Hi all,
I am only going to be able to fully enjoy the look of my exhaust when it is shortened. Here are a couple pictures of the options I came up with. At this point, I'm leaning towards preserving the Yoshimura plate.

Looks good but maybe try photoshopping one with a little bit shorter midpipe and see how thatd look. Something doesnt quite look right with the shorter can but that much midpipe exposed. It might just be me though.

Thanks Nowensby, that was definitely the most time-consuming part.

Good idea, Nickp123 and Nickels!

I've got two questions:
1) Does anyone know if the midpipe can be shortened without the pipe being in the way of the rearsets/swingarm etc.?

2) The midpipe is scratched up from a laydown, does anyone have any experience sanding/polishing the pipe?

Thanks all!

Yeah after i posted i was looking at the pictures and realized there might not be enough clearance. You can always bend the midpipe a little bit so its not in the way though. Take it to your local muffler shop and im sure theyd do it for real cheap. Id say cut it off right around where the springs from the can hook onto the midpipe. Mock up a couple different lengths and see what looks best, maybe the stock length will be best but it cant hurt to find out. As far as polishing the pipe itd depend on how deep the scratches are. If theyre too deep to polish you can always sand and polish the whole thing to get a consistant even finish.

i cant tell from the pics but does the slip on go over or inside the midpipe....if it goes over then you can cut an inch or 2 of that end more than most likely and it would cover that rash you're talkin about

Is that an RS-3? That 'badge' looks weird.. unlike the 2 that I have seen:

newer one:

Older one:

Just curious... I like the shorty look, but I'd never actually do it...
