btw, your power peak is at 13,750 or something. the rest is just over-rev.

yea i dont really shift by rpm either i just go usually by sound and how fast i wanna accelerate but usually just riding to work or something i wont rev that high cause there is no point

There's no real "right" point to shift at...sound/feel. Just like in your car. You'll just have to get used to what that 10k spin sounds like though....unless of course you're used to hearing your car wind up that much. Which of course means, you have no car to drive anymore....[:@]

my first bike... 06 right out of the crate

i shift around 4-5k and get great gas milage.i rarely go above 10k even when imromping on it.

+1 on the F4i as a first bike, got an 02 here 2 weeks ago. Getting more and more used to it every day, got up and drove first time around the neighborhood for an hour or so then have been on the open roads ever since, can never be too careful though, and dont ever get too comfortable because that is when you will go down
