well the split seat models are the 01-03 so you probably could get them a decent bit cheaper than the 04-06 and a corbin is like $200 or something (no idea really, i've never looked into one myself) so yeah it would probably be a little cheaper

I think the split seat looks a lot better and a corbin seat should make it just about as comfortable (at least thats what i've heard)

but what do I know, I'm a track junkie not a commuter

Split seat def. looks better. Corbins go for like $175-$200 new, sometimes they have cheap ones on ebay...ive been looking for a decent priced one for a while.

while im making this thread... id also like to know... how this bike fits riders of my build.. im 6'2 190lbs does your wrists and back hurt alot?
Go sit on one. Mine is great for me 5'8" 195 for about 30 minutes, then I start wanting to use my throttle lock and rest my right hand alot, wrist dont hurt at all (not like an RR), back is fine, upper neck does sometimes bother me.

I can see 2 hour rides getting too long for me, but anything much over an hour seems long. There are some guys that just seem made for sportbikes, I love riding mine, just not for that long at any given stretch.

I sat on a FZ1 the other day that fit me really well except that is was so f**king ugly I felt dirty after being that close to it. Like I said, go sit on one and see what feels good.
