Default Running Rich

Hey guys Im fairly new to riding only been riding for 4 months or so. I've installed a Two brothers slip-on exhaust and noticed the bike was running rich. Well just the other day I installed a k&n filter and new plugs. Havent hada chance to really run it since its been cold. Will that help counter act the problem or do i need to go deeper?

Time to invest another 250-300 in a PCIII.

With a pipe and air filter you should have leaned the bike up since you haven't adjusted your fuel.

Your bikes internal fueling map stored in the "black box" CPU unit is set to run the standard fueling map, which is more geared for a stock air filter and the stock pipe. With a K&N filter and an aftermarket pipe, you've got more air while the "black box" is still putting out the same amount of fuel. Get a Power Commander III to load a different fueling map. Your bike will thank you.

Unless you get another F4i you will need a different PCIII... different connectors.

the inside of a lot of exhaust pipes turn black. i have a scorpion slip on, and they claim there was..."no remapping needed", as much as i don't believe that, i didn't get a pcIII. and you said before, that it was running rich. running rich isn't bad as running lean. which one is it sir?
