Default Rubber Fairing Nuts?

Hi all,

I think I read earlier that OEM fairings have some sort of rubber nut that gets squeezed into the fairing holes like the windscreen has. I have aftermarket fairings and, thus, no rubber nuts. I've tried to use regular nuts and bolts, but they tend to vibrate out after a couple hundred miles.

Am I right, that there are these rubber nuts for fairings, and if so does anyone know where I can find some? I've looked at BikeBandit, but I haven't quite found what I'm looking for. If I'm off in space somewhere, any thoughts on an alternate fastening system?

Thanks!

There are rubber nuts. Not sure where to get them (perhaps the dealer?) Another option is nylock nuts but the rubber nuts make re-installation so much easier!

Thanks JP

Hopefully someone has a line on them. If not, I'll ask around at the stealerships here.

Yeah use those rubber nuts. It is Honda part# 90111-KW3-003. They should be about $3 or less at your Honda store. I have 1 I can send you but that won't do much good if you need all 6.

They are rubber well nuts, the ones I replaced on my tank and front V piece were an M5 thread.

Get them on eGay, no need to pay a bike shop silly money for a commonly used cheap fixing.
