Default Side fairing well nuts seized

Hey everyone, on my '04 F4i when attempting to remove the side fairings, I'm seeing the nut inside the rubber casing spin freely in at least two mounting points and I cannot get it unseized. If I am forced to drill through them to remove them, what are the correct size nuts/bolts/rubber seal to replace them?

Thanks for the help! Would love to do some maintenance on this bike if I can get the fairings off.. step one

Use pliers/vicegrips on the backside. I would buy a whole new set of well nuts and make sure not to tighten them too much

I have pretty good luck with a socket on a cordless drill. The initial shock is usually enough to break it loose.

Speaking of wellnuts, I actually saw that Home Depot has them in the hardware department. I'm not sure if they're the same size or not, would have to measure to find out. They were in the gray sliding cabinet drawers.

I've seen those. The ones they carry are not metric.

Too bad cuz I'd buy tons of them if they were.

what if the bolts are stripped and drilling through them was the only option? does anyone have part numbers for the sets or exact measurements for the nuts/bolts and rubber spacers?

What's the exact location of the bolt?

They are def M5 and IIRC, the well nuts are M5 x 15, with a 10 mm wide hole.

M5 shouldered, allen, button head bolts to fit.

They are a pita when they seize as there is nothing to grab, even if you do have access. Simpler to just drill the heads off the bolts and replace the whole lot.
