Question Rubber capture but things....

I'm not even sure what they're called.

They're rubber and a screw goes into them then they kind of squish down a bit to hold tight. There is one on each side of the tank that the black air ducts screw in to and I don't know what they're called or the size. I bought an F4i fairing bolt kit but I think it was more of a generic kit and none of them are big enough. Does anybody know what size or how they're measured (and what they're called?

They are "well nuts"... and I hate them! These'll do ya - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I did find that "helping" the rubber squish up by running the bolt through them once or twice, prior to install was a big help. Otherwise (because it's my luck) the metal piece tends to just pull straight through as I'm tightening...

Perfect! Can't believe I have to get 25 though. I guess if I could even find them local they'd be $5 each so it's not really a loss. And then when I need to replace them hopefully I know where I put the extras.

Thanks!

Seems like that's how it goes with motorcycles! Either order way too many at a great price "per", or pay through the nose for just the number you need... lol.

Well.. the well nuts showed up next day as Amazon promised. The are 1/128" smaller than the opening they fit in and only spin - they're the same size as the dozen or so that came in the kit I bought. I couldn't find a size that would actually fit though and I'm not sure why. So I decided to just use one of these clips on each size and be done with it, especially since they can't be seen.

Oh well! It all worked out in the end. Now I can finish putting the bike together, take some pics and finish my review.
