the biggest problem i have when my girlfriend is riding with me is that she rests on my upper back and it dows where you out she used to move around alot, that was until i showed her the article about the girl that flew off the back of her boyfriends bike doing 100 mph. if u ride with passengers that is a good article to read. it's a real eye opener

it hurts my girlfriend's back to ride with me. I have the split seat and i'm only 5'8" so I think i sit a lot further forward on the seat than a taller person would. This causes a gap in the seat making her have to support herself a lot.

or so she said...

maybe she was just nervous and tense 'bout ridin with me

I rode with my wife on the back once, so far, that is one of the reasons I got the F4i (bannana seat). The suspension needs to be stiffened up a bit before we go again. Beside sliding forward on me, she would clank her helmet against mine. I guess that menas I am not smooth enough. We are actually going to get her a Shadow VLX this spring because it is too much fun for her not to have her own bike!

Well, i finally rode with a passenger yesterday. It was fun. She had a great time and wanted to do it more. Only thing is she prefered to hold onto the sissy bar on my 04. She felt more stable. I had her try to hold onto me and then the tank wen we would stop. I was able to accelerate and ride faster with her holding me but she would slide if i gunned it or slowed down. So we just took it easy and rode normal with her holding the bar. We'll prob do it again soon or next season. She was cold wen we got off cuz it was windy as hell and i got pelted in the face numerous times by those damn little helicopter things that fall off the trees. lots of banging against the helmet. Anyways. thanks for the advice posted above.

Nope she doesn't want a piece of you (unless she said so?), it happens all the time. I have a regular passenger that has carpal tunnel, so she can't put her hands on the tank to stabilize herself. No problem....she slips forward all the time, but I can control the bike enough that it's not an issue. We get to a stop light, she just readjusts herself or stays in the front seat with me....doesn't really matter.

There's an anti-slip cover they sell across the pond that you can put on the rear seat...on FleaBay.

Same with me stephygee. I like the anti-slip, but in my country is not the pay pal system, so I can not buy it ![:@]
I also saw a special bar thing to fit in the tank cap but I don“t remember where !

cheers
