2 hours is about right. My knees get more sore than anything else, gotta stop and walk aroundevery once in a while. The more track oriented bikes are worse.

You like the Smuggler look?! I know they are kinda pricey but it would be very practical for me. I take my lunch in to work almost everyday and I have to wear a backpack to keep it. I figured if I had the smuggler, i could stick it in there and not have to use a backpack. But I thought it looked a little funny at first, but the look is starting to grow on me. I'll have enough money saved up soon. Plus I hear the corbin seats are really comfy. And I like that you could swap it out if you want to ride two. No one else has really commented on it. Here is the web site to check it out. Go to www.corbin.com click on the sportbike section, then Honda, then CBR, then F4i 2003-2006, then smuggler. others let me know what you think!

Nobody has mentioned back soreness. That is the only thing that starts to bug me after 40+ minutes.
Am I the only one?
If I could figure out how to solve that onei'd be gold.

There are a few variables that can cause the soreness you will feel. First off, the sportbike was designed more for someone with longer legs, so you can touch the ground firmly. Second, The upper torso that is shorter won't have to lean as far to ride comfortably. How you ride is another factor, I ride with my left elbow on the gas tank and my hand supporting my right elbow which is thehand on the throttle. This helps out alot. I have ridden for 6 hours straight just stopping for fuel and haven't felt sore. But I am 5'4" so I am a bit shorter than the average riders. Just my two cents.

I haven't really noticed a back or knee problem, I'm 5' 9" 160lbs my only problemis my seat after about 1.5 hrs straight. I do start to feel the strain on my shoulder blade from holding the throttle. I thought about getting a throttlemiester for that when I take longer trips with my family. I also rest my left elbow on my gas tank while putting my weight on it on the long boring straights.

I find that my neck is in a constant strain...sorta like star gazing. ...but at age 63
I have lots of strains doing anything.

I guess these bikes weren't made for the "Iron Butt" rides....

For me it's the hips and knees (lock up) and hands (vibration) after about 45 minutes...but I'm 40.
Supposedly the F4i isone of the more comfortable sport bikes....I can't imagine what a Gixxer or R6 must be like (OUCH!).[sm=badbadbad.gif]

Hey Gsus, I think for your application the smuggler is a great idea...and yes, I think it is an attractivelook. As far as being sore, there is something to be said about "core" strength. I am so out of shape, but I think it would help my stamina to be strong at my centerof gravity.
