Default Retrofit HID projectors

I'm thinking of fitting my 06 F4i with HID projectors. These are supposed to mount into the existing reflector using the hole for the H7 lamp socket:

Anyone used these before? Opinions?

I know that a lot of folks just retrofit the lamp into the existing reflector with little glare, but I feel better about putting the correct parts in there.
I was originally going to open the headlight housings for halos this winter anyway, so I thought why not do this while I'm at it.

Thanks!

There's no way that'd fit with the tail end of it fitting in through the H7 hole, judging by those pictures. I also can't say anything about the quality. But that's just by looks. I personally wouldn't buy it, but if I was gonna retrofit I'd prefer using quality parts that others have used and documented. Maybe you can be the first to tell the world how well these work.

Good luck with the project!

I did the HID mod, i used the H7 bulbs that drop right in. And mounted the ballasts between the headlights. Do a ebay search for "slim ballast HID" they are like 79 bucks now. some are even cheaper now. the ballasts are the size of a credit card. Use the H7 bulbs, you will save yourself some headaches. btw, if you screw it up, its about 600 bucks to replace your headlight housing.

I've been looking around a bit more and found a couple of installs.
One is on 600RR.net and the other on 1000RR.net.
They both look great and the guys say they're basically plug &
play once the headlight is open.

I'm def gonna try this. Just want to take advantage of these
last warm months first.

Please document as you go. These look intersting and don'r really seem all that hard to mod into the headlight housing. Let us know how they turn out.
