Default Repsol F4I????????

Since the majority of the forum members are more wise than I, I wanted to ask if Honda made a Repsol edition F4I in 2006.

Thanks for the reply! I thought this guy was completely full of crap.

Anyway, I found a 2006 F4I with Repsol plastics on Craigslist. I asked the guy why he replaced the plastics. He responded that he bought the bike brand new from the dealership with those plastics. I didn't even want to deal with him after that. I figured if he was going to lie about the plastics then what else was he hiding.

IMHO, Repsol fairings mean one things... You wrecked it. I'm not a big fan of custom paint jobs for this same reason, it just seems to me that if you change out fairings or paint a bike, you are trying to cover something up.

thats not true. bikes get paint chips and scratches over time. its just normal wear and tear. theres nothing wrong with getting a bike repainted or getting new plastics. a lot of people also just get new plastics cuz they are tired of how the bike looks and wants the appearance of a new bike, but not wanting to spent money on one.

When someone does a race replica, I think it is just because they l.ike it. I wouldn't trust a bonehead that says he bought a new F4i Repsol from the dealer, though. Maybe he is just Ig-nint...

I don't think he was "Ig-nint." He was trying way too hard to convince me that he bought the bike new from the dealership like that. I just didn't trust him.

I saw a Repsol F4i on ebay recently and was wondering the same thing. Probably the same bike.

He may HAVE in fact bought it from a dealership. But it wasn't stock or new. BUT however, my local dealership does once in awhile do a custom bike JUST to sell it. BRAND NEW.

In your case, they guy at best doesn't know. I'd ask him if he has the original plastics. The original color code sticker is in the tail.
