I'm going to be replacing the left hand mirror on a 2005 F4i...previous owner chewed up a corner of it and it looks pretty crappy. Got a OEM on on Ebay for short money.

Is it as easy and straight forward as it looks? Undo a couple of bolts, remove, replace, tighten? Any special gaskets, lock tight, washers etc?

Nope, bolts on directly. Piece of cake. Don't use locktite, as you'll have to take off the mirrors if you ever need to pull off the front fairing.

 

if you have an alen wrench it should take you two seconds to do. piece of cake.

 

Nothing special just the two bolts.The allen should be in your tool kit if you got one..
