Replace dogbone on F4i?
Is there a good DIY or "best practices" to replacing the dogbone on the rear shock? I have a lowering link that I would like removed and converted back to stock.
i replaced mine back to stock,
1. put bike on stand
2. jack up bike under exhaust pipe until load is off the rear suspension an you can loosen and remove the dogbone bolts.
3. Install new link, adjust jack as necessary to install new one.
its that easy

So you put your bike on a rear swing arm stand then jacked it up by the exhaust manifold? Isn't the bike weight an issue on the header?
I would think a standard jack would be fine for jacking a small contact point of the motor, considering the rear swingwarm is in a stand.
i have a lowering link "bone" for my 03 f4i if you would be interested in trading for a stock bone
