it is all ab out your RPM's. I get 40 most the time, but have got 20 at others. it all depends on how your riding it. so 20-40 is not that abnormal.

 

i didnt read through EVERY reply, but one thing i didnt notice posted was warm up times. i know i only get around 130 to a tank in the winter b/c i have to let the bike sit for longer for it to reach 100deg. (wont put it in gear to leave until it reads 100deg). but in the summer, warm up time is obviously very short, so i get between 155-170 to a tank.

its in your riding style, and your warm up time (if you do that).

 

I'm not sure of the explanation for it, but I noticed a huge drop in gas milage (which has never recovered) immediately after I installed an Akrapovic slip-on on my bone stock '05 F4i. It's a bit annoying on long remote rides! It's definitely more than can be explained by a change in riding style.

 

yeah my 1000RR gets much better gas milage then my F4i i have no clue why =P
