I was taking a look at my bike today and wondered to myself if it was possible to change the rear taillight assembly. The rear fender and light housing just looks too bulky for me. Im planning on hacking off the fender all the way up to the tail but that would mean i wouldnt have a trunk anymore. Ive seen people use sheet metal and construct a new more custom undertail which i think actually look nicer than the pre-made undertail kits. Well my question is that if i was to cut the fender off and make the undertail flush by using sheet metal or something, is there a way to make the rear tailight flush also? Maybe use a 600RR tailight assembly? I like the LED lights so it would have to be something like that. Possibly even a 954RR taillight assembly? anybody ever try something like this? thanks
