I just installed a hotbodies undertail on my '03 F4i. I'm trying to figure out where to mount my license plate. I want to mount it as far forward as possible. I've seen some people mount it up by the battery box, which I like, but to worried it'd get my pulled over.

How far should I expect the rear suspension to move up? I was thinking about mounting it right behind where the recess in the under tail starts. Is this to far forward?

i've seen them flat against the under side of the tail...as well as off the bottom of the battery box. i have mine mounted right under the tail light on light angle brackets that put it at like a 45* angle, i've never been given any grief about it from any LEO...just friends who have followed me saying it's a little hard to read



Ohhh...who needs to be able to read those things anyways??
