Default Rear Shock

Looking to replace the rear shock on my '01 F4i. I did a search but couldn't find anything specific, so the question is if anyone knows if the rear shock is the same on newer F4is as my '01? Can I simply buy one for a recent model and it will be compatible?

Yeah youll be fine. I think you can actually even directly swap shocks with the f3s and f2s as well from what ive seen people do with those older bikes.

i dont know if you mind going this route, but im getting my rear shock revalved, repsrung and everything for around 350$. i cant afford a penske or one of those top of the line brands, so this is the best route... if your interested, i can give you a couple numbers and you can check and see if this is what you want to do... or i can let u know when i go pick my shock up, how my experience was..
