Default Rear brake assembly

For the long screw that bolts to the back of the rear set, how deep is it supposed to be screwed in to the black holster? For some reason i can't get it to line up correctly.

pics: green is the specified area im talking about.

The bolt in the first picture looks bent, is that just the shadow, cause that could be a problem there.

Ok this is still giving me problems...i tried to put it according to the manual (100 mm apart from the bottom bolt hole to the bottom of the black clip). And that seemed to work, BUT without pressing down on it the brake lights are on. And i probably took it to about 150 mm (as far as the screw goes) and the brake light still stays on without pressure. What's causing this? Do i need to bleed my rear brakes?
