really high cold idle speed!!!
g'day all, its turning cold here in OZ, and the F4i is starting great, but it cold idles and 3000rpm, now is that normal?, what numbers do you guys get, Also have been through the honda workshop manual and cant find a thing on cold idle adjust, any help would be great...peace

cheers for that, it used to be around 2500, but i had the throttle bodies balanced at the dealer not long ago, and it jumped up to 3000, apparently it was low because the throttle bodies were that far out(bought it that way)... so havent been used to it, it returns to normal around 35 degrees celcius.... so must be ok.... though it does make you feel like you are being rushed!!!...thanks for the replies everyone....peace

ya the auto-choke is cool
usually when the bike is cold... (i don't use it for a day)
it will warm up between 2,500-3,000 rpm
and after a ride and I don't use it for like 5 hours and it is below 99F it won't go up more than 2,000
and takes about the same time to reach 130F... the temperature I clutch and 1st gear
