Default Re-mapping 01 ?? yoshi? help

I have a question,,, I boughtmy bike, its a 01 F4i, it already had a Yoshi Rs3 slip on, on it,,, I asked the guy if he had it remapped,, He said he didn't believe it needed to be,,, I've read on some of these threads where you have to remap them? So, does it need to be mapped or not?

Most slip-ons don't need remapped, if you put in a full exhaust you might have to. but if it runs good, don't worry about it.

doesnt need it, does it have a Power Commander on it? if it does, there is a nice map that was dyno'd for an F4i with a yoshi pipe.
I put it on my bike this week. worked well, eliminated some flat spots, although it killed my mpg
