Default Racetech fork advice

I'm hoping to put some aftermarket internals in my forks to get some better performance out of the ol' machine. However, I have little experience in the area. I could really use some advise from those a bit more knowledgable...

I've been looking at racetech's products. It seems that the .85kg springs might be what I'm looking for but I'm also interested in re-valving/rebound. This is where I kinda get lost. There are a few different products they have in terms of valves.

Also, I don't know if I am capable of doing the work myself. I've read on their site that you can just send them your forks?

Any advise in the matter would be appreciated. And if you recommend a different brand that would be fine too. Essentially, I'm just looking to get some better performance out of my forks. Thanks!
