Default Quick Question

I was just wondering if it is possible or if anyone has attempted to put an undertail exhaust on a 02 F4i?

If anyone has any links or has done this could you please let me know. Id really like to do this mod but before I start anything I want to know if it can be done.

Thanks in advance for any help that you guys can give me.

i have read that you need to do the 600rr swingarm swap to have space for the exhaust. Someone around has done it im sure they'll chime in.

I want my exhaust under tail too - so I am going to do the smart thing. Sell the F4i and buy an RR. It will prove easier, cheaper, and look better in the long run.

Hopefully I could maybe make the switch this summer, but it might be next year before I can pull the trigger. Either way though things like this are always easier to buy it right than make it work.

not really, you could do an undertail cheap. just get the 600rr swingarm, if u need info pm me ill tell u everything u need to know. if 600rr headers wil fit, then u wont have to make a custom midpip, if not, just make a custom mid and run a 600rr exhaust. not too expensive at all. i did my swingarm swap for like 100 bucks in parts, and that included an ss line for the back

my ferrari project build im making a custom under tail exhaust... but like vangill said best way to do it is use the 600rr swing arm (i am) i have all the tubing for my i beleive... once im done welding it up i can get you the measurements and you can fab your own mid pipe and just use a 600rr muffler...

It's a lot of work that will require custom fabrication. A lot more work than the average person will want to endeavor.

I've seen a couple people who did it and their exhaust pipe goes outside of the swingarm (stock F4i). It doesn't look right.

IMO if you want the undertail exhaust, get an RR. But if you're down for a project, good luck and post pics!

Yeah I know that it will be a lot of work but its the kind of work that I like to do. If I do do this project then I will start it in winter so that way I have something to putz around with while it is -30 degrees here lol. If and when I start it I will be sure to take plenty of pics and deffinatly post them on here.
