When ever I fire up my f4i after its warmed up it seems to idle around 900 rpm until after a couple of revs or just waiting then it goes to 1400. Is this normal I know how to adjust the idle so it's not that, could it be the wax piece that high revs the bike on cold starts?

 

Try adjusting the Idle **** close to the left side fairing

 

The idle adjusted is set fine bump

 

check your coolant level.... try starting it with the radiator cap off work out any air pockets few revs and top it off before it reaches temp. cap it and try again... the coolant cycles through the wax idler assembly could have a adverse effect...

just a idea to try... air could be settling up there during off time and when you rev it you disturb it enough gain flow.
