I don't know off hand, but wouldn't you get a quicker answer by just taking a tape measure to your bike and finding out?

haha i could, and would, but i dont yet have the bike. im getting it in a couple months.
right now im just getting a game plan of all the stuff i will need. haha
i know im gunna want to change all the liquids and stuff, from a maintenance schedule standpoint. and the filters. what else should i replace right off the bat? tires? the chain was changed out last year so that should be good.
i need a petcock cuz the owner says its leaking. im thinking about doing the breaks...

i would say in order..

1. petcock. u would not like leaking fuel.
2. all the fliuds including bleeding ur breaks.
3. tires if it is necessary
4. chain and sprocket if it is necessary.
5. maybe the R/R
6.and most likely the CCT if the owner did not do so

Perform all scheduled maintainence up to that milage, even if you think it's been done already. This will include all your inspections like brakes, chain and sprockets. Adjust your clutch and throttle play. Change the oil, plugs and air filter regardless of milage. Ignore the R\R and CCT unless they're obviously not working.

What this man says^. I wouldnt mess with the RR or CCT unless it needs it.

Last year, after shutting my bike off, I tried starting it again and it wouldnt. I assumed it was my RR because my battery was more drained than it should have been (hard time turning over). I got a new RR, and charged my battery. For ****s and giggles, I just put in my battery with the old RR, and it worked just fine. The problem was I was driving in a lot of stop go traffic and didnt allow my bike to recharge. I still have the new, never installed RR just waiting for if mine DOES go bad . After this fiasco, I learned my bike doesnt charge unless its over 4.5k or so RPMs... I think around there.

Every once and a while when I start my bike, the CCT will rattle, but only until I put it in gear and drive. Then it stops. I suppose when it keeps rattling even through gears I will replace it.

What does the CCT even do and should I replace it at any sign of rattling or just extreme noise?

(sorry for the hijack, but it seems relevant)

Thanks
