Default Question about Titles

TodayI just received a letter from the DMV asking me to return the title. They sent me a copy of the title the first owner sold to the owner I bought it from. The checkbox with " The odometer reading stated is in excess of its mechanical limits". They said " The odometer brand (mileage excessed) was not recrded on the Georgia Certificate of title". I did not know about this when I bought the bike. On the title from the owner I just bought it from did not say anything about that. What will they do if I send the title back to them? What will they do if I do not send them back the title? What should I do period? Was I jipped on this bike?

I would call them, but most likely, they'll update the title with the mileage on it... It's not like you don't own the bike. you have nothing to freak out over.

don't give up your title, call them. if you don't have the title you don't own the bike.

Go to the least busy friendliest dmv office around and talk it over, without having the title with you.
I had mileage-signature problems going 2 (untraceable) owners back and the only reason I have the bike today is 'cause of a friendly dmv
