Default question about tail conversion

I plan on doing the tail and front conversion on my F4. Since no one wants to buy it, I will make an F4i out of it. But my question is for the tail conversion, you know you need the key to unlock the rear to get the seat off. How does that work for the conversion?

The key is located on the back of the rear shovel (piece below the tailight) It uses a cable atatched to a latch mounted on the rear tail section of the frame. I am sure you can modify and use the lock and latch on your f4 (assuming it has one??) so that you can remove the seat to gain access to the trunk. Not sure if this helps?? I just did an undertail on my f4i and had to modify and relocate the key hole to underneath.

I know how it works and everything, I just wanted to know if my existing latch would work. But if anything I will modify it.

You can reuse the original lock cylinder, but you have to use the F4i release cable and cable bracket (the piece that holds the lock cylinder in place, and the little screw that holds it down). The cable is shorter on the F4i and it's routed differently, so you need the bracket too
