Default Protect Tank?

So I am trying to get idea's. My tank is black and shows scratches on the sides of it(were your legs rub). I was thinking of getting a stomp grip to put over it to help protect it. Is there anything cheaper that is like it without paying 40 dollars for? Just getting idea's right now.

Thanks,
Krux

There's thin rubber traction sheets that home stores sell for use on wood deck stairs or concrete steps. Cut to the size & shape you want, stick it on, & you're good to go.

Hmm. The only one's I am aware of are either shelving grip sheets(typically there rubber and glue wont hold on to it well) or grip tape sheets for stairs.

Mine Came with a thin clear cover on those areas. Not sure what it was, but it protected very well. I think it was something like the stick on bumper protectors..from like rocks and such.

You can use vinyl! Get a couple colors and you'll even be able to keep w/e graphics you have. Or a solid color could work to.

Its an idea anyway. Personally I prefer my tank nearly naked

Google - "homemade stomp grip" ...you'll get some examples.
Here's a couple of good links...

Walmart used to sell *smooth or diamond-plate design* tacky rubber sheets w/ 3M adhesive on the back. They came 2 per pack for about $8. Harbor Freight used to carry them as well. Simply cut the design you want for your tank & stick on.

Good luck on whatever you decide.

Good Idea's guy's. Thanks. My buddy on his zx14 is having the same problem. Its when you wear full leathers it likes to rub on the paint. Were trying to help avoid causing any more paint issues.

Graphics would be a good idea but I have a solid black tank. I should just do grip tape lol. That would be so shady jk
