Default Problem with a 125cc

Sorry guys I know its not an F4i, but everyone seems to be good at diagnosing problems in this particular forum.

So the neighbor guy saw me riding the other day and caught me as I pulled in today. hes got a 125cc carb bike. i have no idea what brand but his problem sounds easy enough to solve. He lets it idle and everything is fine, but when he gives it gas it sputters and die. I haven't had any issues with my F4i and its fuel injected, but I told him I would find out what I could. He replaced the spark plugs, so that was the only thing I could think of.

Anyone have any ideas what may be wrong?

his main jet is clogged in his carb

he can pull the carb out and take the bowl off the bottom and it will expose the 2 jets
the bigger one is the main jet
they can use spray carb cleaner and a small metal wire to thread through it and clean it out

put it back together and he'll be gold

Yah, I got to thinking after I posted and thought about his jets being clogged. I also thought I probably wouldn't hurt to have the air filter cleaned and checked.

Thanks guys.
