my bike came with no toolkit, (WTF?) and i need to know what i can use to adjust the preload on the rear spring. thanks

 

isnt it just a flathead screwdriver, im not sure though

no it's a special tool, looks like a bar with a "C" at the end of it. if you don't have it, you can use a flat bar to hit the 'squares' where the bar should go...but put cloth over the point of impact so you don't kill it.

 

I see the tool kits go on ebay for around $30 quite often.
Or you can buy the tools from a dealer, the preload tool is #6 in this pic, it goes for around $11 http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/200_03...30&parent=5220

I went to the dealer and said "WTF where's my toolkit" and after having me wait one hour, told me the 2006 F4i's didn't come with toolkits. Cheap bastards eh?

 

that toolkit would add a good 30 cents to the price of the bike. honda couldn't compete with thier bikes marked up like that[sm=alcoholic.gif]
